Nicholas Zambetti is an interaction designer and technologist at IDEO, a design and innovation firm based in Palo Alto, California. He is fascinated with the importance of electronic objects in our lives and how we become emotionally entangled with the abilities they provide.

His work at IDEO spans a broad range of domains, including consumer electronics, telecommunications, transportation, web and medical. An avid tinkerer and believer in open source, he helped to create the IDEO Labs initiative to publicly share and engage with others on the topic of prototyping in the design process.

Prior to IDEO, he specialised in interactive multimedia design and development, creating distance learning applications for higher education, as well as showpieces for the advertising industry. As a product designer, he collaborated with Droog Design and Artemide, exhibiting at the Salone del Mobile in Milan (2005-2007). His work has been featured in a number of publications including Wallpaper*, Make Magazine, and Communication Arts.

Nicholas is a distinguished graduate of Interaction Design Institute Ivrea, holding undergraduate degrees in Philosophy and Computer Science from Florida State University.
