Education

The Interaction Design Pilot Year students will learn to apply design and technology to people’s lives through designing and prototyping new ideas for products, services and software. Faculty from all around the world will lead investigations into a range of topics related to their specific expertise in design, technology and innovation.

Hands-on learning and user-centred design processes will provide inspiration and grounding and the students will be given the skills to build working prototypes of their ideas. The curriculum encourages a multi-disciplinary approach which will prepare students for careers where innovation crosses product areas.

In conjunction with the Danish Design School and CIID’s aim to minimise the gap between academia and industry, students will have the opportunity to collaborate with companies and take seminars in the practical and theoretical aspects of interaction design.

There is an open call for collaboration: companies, organisations and other academic institutions are invited to propose lectures, inspirational talks and visits – and to think about building a longer-term relationship with the programme.
